The 10 June signals the beginning of Matariki for 2013, this is the start of Maori New Year.

Here is a legend told by the author of the Seven Sisters of Matariki.  I hope you enjoy it!  Perhaps you could share it with your family.

What a busy term!

It has been an amazingly busy term, with the highlight being our trips to Waitoetoe Park to explore our local bush environment.

The children went first to explore and identify by themselves some native plants and then we were met by the Friends of Waitoetoe and had experts help us to identify the names of the plants.
